Basement & Crawl Space Encapsulation
Vapor barrier systems that seal below-grade spaces against moisture intrusion, often paired with dehumidification for lasting humidity control.
Basement and crawl space encapsulation and sump pump services for St. Louis City, St. Louis County, and St. Charles County. Moisture control, documented.
Basement waterproofing means different things to different contractors, so here is Eversafe's scope stated plainly. Eversafe performs basement and crawl space encapsulation, sump pump services, and related interior moisture-control work. Eversafe does not install French drains and does not repair foundation cracks. Exterior excavation, drain tile, and structural foundation work belong to other trades.
That boundary is intentional. Interior moisture control — encapsulation, pumping, dehumidification — is restoration-adjacent work Eversafe performs to its documentation standard. Claiming the rest would be claiming work Eversafe does not do.

Sump pump installation, replacement, and service — including battery backup options — so the pit keeps working when storms knock out power.
The St. Louis region combines clay-heavy soils, intense storm bursts, and a large stock of older homes with full basements — a combination that puts hydrostatic pressure on foundation walls and floors. When the soil around a foundation saturates, water finds the joints, the cracks, and the porous concrete itself.
The assessment documents the water's path as observed: where it enters, when it appears (during rain, after snowmelt, year-round), and what the interior humidity readings show. That determines whether encapsulation, pumping, dehumidification, or a combination is the right response — and whether the customer needs a foundation or drainage contractor for work outside Eversafe's scope.

Encapsulation seals the interior surfaces of a basement or crawl space with a heavy vapor barrier, closing off the pathways moisture uses to enter the living space. Seams are sealed, the barrier is secured to walls and floors, and the space is then managed with dehumidification to hold humidity at controlled levels.
The result is a dry, clean below-grade space: lower humidity upstairs, less musty odor, and conditions that do not support mold growth. For crawl spaces in particular — where chronic dampness is the norm in this region — encapsulation changes the space from a moisture source into a controlled part of the building envelope.

Eversafe performs basement and crawl space encapsulation, sump pump services, and related moisture-control work. Eversafe does not install French drains and does not repair foundation cracks — those are separate trades.
Encapsulation seals the basement or crawl space with a vapor barrier system, addressing moisture intrusion at the interior surfaces. It is often paired with dehumidification and sump pump work for a complete moisture-control approach.
No. Foundation crack repair is outside Eversafe's scope and belongs to a foundation repair contractor. Eversafe can address the interior moisture conditions and refer the structural work appropriately.
